I like her music

So awesome.

Will see on Wednesday!

So here’s the story: Mike Watt (formerly of Minutemen) went solo in ’95. Went on this tour. His band consisted of Eddie Vedder, Dave Grohl, Sonic Youth, Kathleen Hanna, Evan Dando, Mark Lanegan, J Mascis, Ad-Rock & Mike D. Nobody knew this. It was not promoted. They played songs from his first solo album and a bunch of covers. This is the first song of a live album of said tour that was just released. It’s a Daniel Johnston cover.
The rest of the album is cool as well.
Cool story bro!

This is one of many great tracks on Car Seat Headrest’s new album ‘Teens of Denial’, follow-up to major label debut ‘Teens Of Style’ (compilations of re-recordings of previous albums). This guy named Will Toledo made like 12 albums before anyone really noticed it, but his music is actually phenomenal. He makes all the music himself and used to record the singing in the backseat of his car (hence the name), he recently started touring with a full band, I managed to miss them on two occasions already…

We are not a proud race

Sing along!

Fingerpickin’ good.
